Our Story: Transition Treasures

Transition Treasures began as a hands-on learning project created by Cammie Zelinski with support from a Bellevue Schools Foundation grant. The goal was simple and powerful: to give young adults with disabilities meaningful, real-world opportunities to build vocational, social, and everyday life skills.

What started as a small idea—offering students a safe, creative place to practice workplace tasks—has grown into a thriving, student-run business. Through Transition Treasures, students learn inventory management, customer service, budgeting, production, communication, and teamwork, all while gaining confidence and independence.
